The first thing I should mention is that the motivation plays a main role among the students in the classroom. That's why, we need to be creative in usage of techniques. One of the most effective ways of involving students to education is music. Music and songs  can provide  an invaluable help in learning English.  Like other forms of art, music, especially a song has a cognitive value. Listening to songs, children in own way imagine artistic images therefore their creative imagination develops.

Music is an art of sounds in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony and color.

Song is a short metrical composition intended or adopted for singing, especially one in rhymed stanzas; a lyric; a ballad.

When we have a bad mood we are  listening  to music. When we have a good mood we are  also listening  to music. K.D.Ushinski said that singing in the classroom brings together students  and bring up their culture.  Thanks for these  motivating  resource  learner has the chance to connect all cultural and language aspects with the help of songs.

There are many methodological advantages of songs. Firstly, songs help to expand a lexical stock of  students, including new words and expressions; Secondly, grammatical constructions of  songs are better acquired and activated. Thirdly, songs improve pronunciation and listening skills.

It is proved that music makes impact on the right brain, and the text - on left.In order to develop all of these methodological advantages of songs we have to increase students' motivation to English language.

The Chinese proverb says: "Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I will remember. Involve me, and I will learn". There are many ways of improving efficacy of the lesson: excerpts of the films, songs, cartoons, newspapers, magazines, audio materials. Teenagers prefer modern and popular songs, thanks for their authentic cultural studies content. Of course, we cannot say that all the problems find solution through songs. However,  songs course a big wave of enthusiasm. I guess I could also remark on the fact that we should pay enough attention to the content of songs. Learners have to be pretty keen on melody and music must be modern and alive.

Songs can be used for different purposes. For instance, we find many grammatical constructions, like plural forms of noun, numerals, prepositions, adverbs, modal verbs, etc. The song in English can divide into such types: songs games ("Happy Birthday"," Where is Mary") , songs - performances ("Old MacDonald had a Farm"), a song exercise for work with phonetic, lexical and grammatical material ("A little tea pot", "What do you do"),  songs the showing human relations  ("My Bonnie").

Another point which I could add is that the meaning may not always be correct: for instance, they can have a lot of slang or offensive word, grammatical mistakes, etc. Teachers have to be very careful about it. For instance, there are approximately  80 % of slang and grammatical mistakes in  "I'll be missing you" (Puff  Daddy).

...its kinda hard with you're not around, know you're in heaven smiling down... There "kinda"  is informal construction and I is missed.

...Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show... -  pronoun "that"  is missed too.

...life aint always what it seems to be... aint - are not, am not, is not.

...ya - you.

At the beginning you can choose an easy song, for example songs as, ‘My heart will go on", "Lemon tree", "Pretty woman", "Yellow submarine" are the most popular one.  In another lesson, you can select the song with some grammatical construction.  Also, you shouldn't forget to mention idioms. For example, the title of song "Always in my mind" by Elvis Presley means "I'm always thinking about you". There are also a lot of past tense constructions.

In addition to what I have just mentioned, I can add that the age of learners are very important too. For instance, if you are a teacher of young learners, you shouldn't forget the fact that they are quite a big fun of repetitive songs. For teenagers, however, use pop and rock songs. Children of these ages totally mad about "cool" music. Alternatively, adults learners, will probably enthusiastic about classical music and many other genres of songs.

During my diploma  research I carried out questioning in four classes. The questionnaire consisted of five questions. By results it is visible that 96% of pupils listen to songs. Nearly 50% sometimes understand sense of songs . Approximately 50% of pupils don't understand. 30% simply have sincere satisfaction,  and 15% are simply pleasant English songs. About 68% consider that their  lexicon is enriched. Only 1% of learners listen because of many listen to music.

During the done work it is possible to draw a conclusion that songs play an important role in developments of memory at learning of foreign language. Also, you study well words, you start to understand sense of songs.  Thereby we study a foreign language.

To summarize all the fact we know that the songs  plays a very important role in the classroom. And  in order to motivate students  we have to find a right ways and methods of solving those problems.
