Movies play an important role in my life and of course I like to go to the cinema. As for me it is an available popular form of art, I find visiting cinemas is one of the best ways of spending my free time. To my mind movies extend our knowledge about people, about the world we live. Watching films is always very relaxing and entertaining. The convenience of the cinema is that you can choose what time you want to go because there are usually a number of showings. There’s a special magic at the cinema. You’re sitting there with your friends getting their reactions and talking before the movie starts and then the lights go down and you’ve got your popcorn and your soft drinks and everything.

One of the great actors who made a strong impression on me is Alexander Baluev.

Aleksandr Baluev comes from a family of military personnel. He was born on December 6, 1958 in Moscow. Alexander's father was very strict and disciplined, demanding from family members unquestioning submission and obedience. He had high hopes for his son, dreaming that he would become a soldier career. Alexander's mother, having been intellectually refined, educated modest woman, instilled love for the theater. Frequent visits to the theatrical performances have aroused the interest of young talent. In those moments Alexander Baluev wanted to be among the theatrical extravaganza and take part in a bright, unusual setting. Future profession was predetermined.

His acting career didn't go up at once. After high school, Baluev filed documents for entering the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and miserably failed the exams. Having decided not to change the direction of activity, the young man got a job as an best boy at Mosfilm. Having been confident in his abilities, one year later, Alexander became a student of Moscow Art Theatre. He had excellent marks and approved himself to be the excellent student, and then after graduating he easily found a job at the theater. Unlike most graduates of theater universities, he has even been given a choice, and Baluev opted the Theatre of the Russian Army, in which he has played many memorable roles for six years("The Arrows of Robin Hood", "Clock without hands", "The Lady of the Camellias" "Trees die standing", etc.).

In 1986, Alexander Baluev began to work at the Yermolova's Moscow Theatre, playing leading roles in "The second year of freedom," "Snow, near the prison", "Caligula". In the late 1980s, Alexander Baluev left the theater.

Since the late 90-ies he has repeatedly appeared in the Hollywood films, where he was invited, as a rule, to be in the secondary or incidental roles of the Russian officers. Subsequently, the image of "a hero in uniform" has become practically inseparable in all his most famous and popular characters in the films.

Thanks to the courageous and bright appearance and unique charisma, he became known to a wide audience. The most famous film, starring Alexander Baluev, is the "Bless the Woman", shot by film director Stanislav Govorukhin . After this film, he received national recognition and love of thousands of fans.

The male half of the population began to respect the actor for his ability to get used to the brutal role in the film "Anti-Killer", as well as in the films "Atlantis", "Tycoon," "Officers", "Kandahar", and many others. The talent of the actor was estimated by his colleagues and the state. He has won awards such as Kinotavr Award for Best Actor in the film "Muslim," the FSB Award for his role in the feature film "The Fall of the Empire" in 2006, and etc.

In the West, Baluev is also known. He starred in the action films "The Peacemaker" and "Deep Impact" that became box office hits.

As for his family relations, the actor prefer to leave the personal life behind the scenes. It's known that at the moment he is divorced from his wife Maria, who in the past has been a successful Polish journalist.

I am Monogamous" - Baluyev Alexander tells about himself. The actor’s private life is very interesting to his fans, but he hasn't used to expose the feelings on a public inspection. Alexander has got acquainted with the his wife Maria during the holiday in the resort where she had a rest with the children: son and daughter. The woman was still married, but as Alexander admitted, he wasn’t worried about it. He had fallen in love with her at first sight and he kept these feelings for the rest of life. For the long time the lovers lived «on two countries». And only after they had legalized the relations, Alexander could persuade the wife to live in a cozy lodge which he had constructed especially for the family. But as Baluyev tried, his wife hasn't managed to fall in love with Russia finally. Maria quite often went to her native land. To the end the actor's wife couldn’t accustom to a way of life of Russians. Maria had the daughter whom the father had called by the double name Maria-Anna. Now the baby is 10 years. The father just worships her. Maria didn’t like the acting career of Alexander Baluyev. She hasn't fallen in love with the Russian bohemia, and constant tour departures of the husband kept her in suspense. At the age of 55 years the actor became a bachelor again. Baluyev Alexander has got divorced his wife. After parting Maria has gone to Warsaw with her daughter. Alexander Baluyev took a gap hard.

Alexander Baluyev is invited for the role of military, in movies he surely appears with weapon. In usual life Alexander doesn't show any interest at weapon at all. The actors get acquainted with the military equipment directly on the shooting stage. And exactly in that measure which is necessary to finish the necessary material shooting. The rest doesn't interest the actor.

To receive a role in "The best movie-3D" Alexander had to learn to knit. According to the script, his hero - the leader of the gang which is engaged in video piracy is simply inseparable with a hank of threads and spokes. These are the costs of the profession, and Alexander had to learn to knit. People say that the actor was so keen on this occupation that he promised to continue to improve the skill in this area even after shooting.

I really like when Alexander plays soldiers or a military servicemen. Military uniform suits him very well and he gets used to such roles. It's necessary to have a certain talent to play military men. In my opinion, to play a doctor or a journalist is much easier. In government-issue films there are a lot of tragic situations, which sometimes it's difficult to imagine. It's essential that the audience believes the hero, who is experiencing these feelings. To my mind, only very talented actors are able to cope with such roles.

Alexander can fully disclose the nature of his characters. His expressive face and eyes help him say more than the established scenario. Alexander sensitively captures the depth of the character, whom he plays, and fully reflects it on-screen.

The actor saw "light at the end of the tunnel." Alexander had to go through a long "blackout" when he suddenly lost consciousness and didn't remember either ambulance or hospital or surgery. But he very clearly remembers that feeling that the others have had in such situations - the actor had been walking along the black corridor for a long time before he finally saw light at the end of the tunnel. Baluev says that he clearly saw the white space, where he was about to enter into, but he could not, because he seemed to hear someone said: "No, it's not time to go yet, you should do something else in this world."

After Alexander came to his senses, he began, according to him, to look at everything differently. It's possible to say that his life has started "from scratch". As the actor says, many things have changed in himself, and that's why it became even more difficult to live.

Today Alexander Baluev is one of the most recognizable movie stars in Russia. He constantly gets more and more offers to star in films, leaving his career in the theater. The actor lives in Moscow, but rarely sits still, constantly driving around on tour and filming.
