My paper is targeted at description of life and creative activities of the founder of television – Vladimir K. Zworykin (188-1982), who is our outstanding countryman as he was born in Russia and lived the first period of his life in the city of Murom, Vladimir region. To tell the truth, I am very much proud of such a prominent countryman as V.K. Zvorykin and I want many people to know as more about his life and creativity as they can.

My paper is accompanied with a power point presentation which consists of thirty PC slides, of the text of the presentation itself, of one test, of ten generalizing questions on the theme, of the key words and, finally, of the bibliographical list of references.

The paper and the power point presentation may be used at practical classes in English for students of management as well as of radio-technologists.

The paper and the materials accompanied were approved on September 29^th, 2014, at the English class, period 1, in Vladimir State University n.a. the Stoletov brothers.
